A Letter From 2050. Content Block
Content Block
Dear Reader from 2026, I am writing to you from the year 2050. Some things turned out exactly as you expected. Others would shock you. Cars still exist, but nobody drives them. Every vehicle is self-driving, and most people don't own one — they just order one from an app when they need it. Traffic accidents have dropped by 95%. Petrol stations have become charging stations, community gardens, or small parks. Most people work three or four days a week. AI handles the repetitive parts of almost every job. Doctors, lawyers, and teachers still exist, but they spend their time on the human parts — talking, listening, deciding — while AI does the research, the paperwork, and the grading. University degrees are almost meaningless. Employers care about what you can do, not where you studied. Most people learn through short online courses and get certified by doing real projects, not passing exams. Meat from animals is rare and extremely expensive. Most people eat lab-grown meat or plant-based alternatives that taste identical to the original. Some children have never tasted "real" chicken. The biggest surprise? People are lonelier than ever. Technology solved most practical problems but made human connection harder. The most popular new profession in 2050 is "conversation partner" — a person you pay to have dinner with you and talk, face to face, with no screens. I hope you use the next 24 years wisely. A friend from the future

The Fortune Teller. Roleplay Quest
Roleplay Quest
Scenario
One person is a fortune teller at a street market. The other is a customer who wants to know about their future — career, love, travel, health, and money. The fortune teller makes predictions using will, going to, and might. The customer reacts — do they believe it? Do they want to hear more? Do they disagree? The session lasts 5 minutes. Have fun with it!
The Fortune Teller
You are dramatic, mysterious, and confident. You "see" the customer's future in your crystal ball. Make bold predictions about their career, relationships, and travels.
Secret goal: Mix certainty levels: some things you are "absolutely sure" about (will), some you "sense" (going to — you see signs), and some are "unclear in the crystal ball" (might). If the customer doubts you, get offended and say "The crystal ball never lies!"
The Customer
You are curious but sceptical. You want to hear predictions about your future but you don't believe everything.
Secret goal: React to each prediction: agree, disagree, or ask for more details. Use phrases like "Do you really think I will...?", "That might be true, but...", "I don't think that's going to happen because..." Challenge at least two predictions.
Build the Future Together. Story Builder
Story Builder
Story prompt
Together, build a story set in the year 2060. Start with: "When I woke up this morning, everything was different." Describe one day in the future — what does the city look like, how do people travel, what do they eat, how do they work, and what has changed about human relationships? Use will, going to, and might from the word bank. Make it feel real — not a science fiction movie.
